New Computer in game troubles.

So some of you are aware of my problem with my new comp.
I got it set up yesterday and installed rep com. It was awesome to see high graphics on rep com for once. Only prob is that about every 30 seconds I lag. Doesn't show in ping, but I lag. At first I thought it could be my internet, so I went on my other computer and played but there was no lag on it. Only on the new desktop with Nvidia 9500 graphics, 4gb ram, 500 hard drive = /
I tried on all settings, down to lowest graphics but its still the same issue.
Any ideas?

V-Sync off ?

Make sure its on your firewall list and your running it as an admin.

V-Sync is off. Admind and firewall is fine. Same probs with CA also...

Try a couple others games. If you havent already download service pack 1&2.

Do you think it could be the drivers for the vid card?

Ah Vista Sucks and I have vista I lag like that too. Never found out why untill one day it stopped.

maybe it is the drivers...ive had that problem too before.

It could very well be a well documented problem with the dang nvidia graphics card. SP1 should fix that though.

Uhhhhm. I ran all the discs that came with it if that's what you're asking.
Sooo maybe it will just go away like some of you?

I dl-ed the service pack and when I ran it all it said was that I already had it -_-

Yes that normally works.

Well, it is his wireless card i suppose. He made it sound first as if it was frame lag, but he tries to log onto xfire and he keeps losing connection with his computer. Either he installed it wrong or the card is faulty.
